Goodbye Coco

Coco, July 2003 - November 2010

Coco is once again reunited with her sister. I'm sure they're hugging and grooming each other, like they used to do years ago! We will miss them both forever.

Toothless!

You can't really tell from this pic, but Coco had 8 teeth extracted last week. She apparently lost 4 more, naturally, over time. She's doing well, considering the number of extractions. She still has four molars - so she can chew once she gets the food into her mouth. But she's having trouble grabbing her food from the bowl (we actually switched to a shallow plate instead). Still, she refuses to even try canned food - so stubborn! So, we're softening her dry food with water until she's fully healed.

Flip Flap

Coco jumps in the box-in-box and nudges the flap closed with her nose for privacy. Then, when she hears something going on nearby, she nudges the flap open to get a peek. I'm wondering if she would like to have her litter box in this box-in-box - it doesn't get more private than this!

Sisal

On the New Rug

The rug is not even 2 months old and Coco is already pulling out threads in various spots. We were warned against getting a wool rug with a cat in the house. She looks good here, though. Orange is her color!

More Fun in the Cave

This morning Coco flipped the cave on end and climbed inside to catch some z's.

The Cave

This "toy" is called a cave. It's just 3 pieces fabric attached together with a plush ball at one end. Coco goes crazy when she gets near this thing. This morning, she wore herself out and took a brief catnap in the cave before I came along and woke her up.
