Looking at the Sunday Ads
Coco's done with the Circuit City and Best Buy ads. She's just chillin' waiting for her trip to the vet's office for her annual checkup. She got a good report... gained a couple of ounces. She's considered overweight!!! It is so hard for me to think of her as being overweight. Oh, Coco's wearing rubber tips on her claws again. We'll see how long they last before she pulls them off.

Coco and Jill Karen
OK, I know a Furby is not going to take the place of Tigger. But, Coco is still missing her very much and spends so many hours of the day alone, now. So, I brought Jill Karen out of storage and set her down on the floor, hoping Coco would befriend her. Coco is curious. But, she's not easily fooled.

Sitting Board

It's really a scratching board. But, Coco uses the sofa, rug, and shower curtain for scratching. She uses the scratching board to sit on.
Coco is coping fairly well with the loss of her sister. She seems a bit "lost" at times. But, she's still very playful at other times - like at 3am this morning, when she brought her rubber ball onto the bed and started playing with it.

Rest in Peace, Tigger!
Tigger
July 2003 - February 2008

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our beautiful, gentle Tigger. She brought us so much joy in the 2.5 years she was with us. She left us so suddenly and way too soon.

We don't need no stinkin' condos!
$200 worth of plush, carpeted multi-level cat condos sit unused. All these girls want are $3 worth of cardboard boxes!

What's that white stuff falling from the sky?

The gals were fascinated by the snow that was falling and accumulating on the window sills and screens. I brought some snow inside for them, but, they wouldn't have any part of it.

To the Poor House!

The Poor House. That's where these two angels are driving us. I just realized that between the two of them, they've cost us a little over $1,000 in vet and meds bills since we took them in from Bide a Wee 7 months ago. Hmmmm.
Poor things. Both may be suffering from some viral thing causing problems with their eyes (Coco has shmoots coming out of one eye all the time and Tigger had one eye closed for a few days). This will be the 3rd time that Tigger is on antbiotics since she came to live with us In fact, Bide a Wee sent us home with antibiotics when we adopted them.
For Tigger, it gets worse, though. The vet detected some out-of-whack liver enzyme in her blood tests 3 months ago. A follow up visite this weekend shows some change for the worse. She's now being treated for that as well - I think to keep her from getting hepatitis.

Catnip Cat

What happens when you leave a full (sealed) bag of catnip overnight on a coffee table in a house with a monster cat that has sharp claws and teeth?
You wake up to one very crazed cat covered in catnip - and with catnip all over the apartment - floors, window sills, chairs.... everywhere!!!

More Sunday Times

There's just no keeping these gals away from the New York Times. There's something that they just love - whether it's the paper itelf or the ink or just the fact that they can crawl under and create a dark hideout.
