Flip Flap

Coco jumps in the box-in-box and nudges the flap closed with her nose for privacy. Then, when she hears something going on nearby, she nudges the flap open to get a peek. I'm wondering if she would like to have her litter box in this box-in-box - it doesn't get more private than this!

Sisal

On the New Rug

The rug is not even 2 months old and Coco is already pulling out threads in various spots. We were warned against getting a wool rug with a cat in the house. She looks good here, though. Orange is her color!

More Fun in the Cave

This morning Coco flipped the cave on end and climbed inside to catch some z's.

The Cave

This "toy" is called a cave. It's just 3 pieces fabric attached together with a plush ball at one end. Coco goes crazy when she gets near this thing. This morning, she wore herself out and took a brief catnap in the cave before I came along and woke her up.

In the Bag!

Coco received an early Christmas gift tonight - a can filled with fun stuff to play with. After she got tired of playing, she settled down inside the bag. I received a scolding from my guest for not cutting off the handles. My bad. The handles were promptly cut off after I snapped this pic.

Back on the Sofa

Coco hasn't hung out on the sofa for a few months. But, she's back here almost every day now. She goes thru cycles - or maybe it's a seasonal thing. I still don't understand how she can be comfortable sitting on "stuff" and why she chooses to do so when there's so much more empty space to rest on.

Coco being Coco

There truly is not a box, anywhere, that Coco would not want to spread out on - or crawl into!

Get the Vacuum Cleaner!

A dusty-looking Coco, staring me down, wondering that the heck I'm doing with a camera on the floor.

Looking at the Sunday Ads

Coco's done with the Circuit City and Best Buy ads. She's just chillin' waiting for her trip to the vet's office for her annual checkup. She got a good report... gained a couple of ounces. She's considered overweight!!! It is so hard for me to think of her as being overweight. Oh, Coco's wearing rubber tips on her claws again. We'll see how long they last before she pulls them off.

Coco and Jill Karen

OK, I know a Furby is not going to take the place of Tigger. But, Coco is still missing her very much and spends so many hours of the day alone, now. So, I brought Jill Karen out of storage and set her down on the floor, hoping Coco would befriend her. Coco is curious. But, she's not easily fooled.

Sitting Board

It's really a scratching board. But, Coco uses the sofa, rug, and shower curtain for scratching. She uses the scratching board to sit on.

Coco is coping fairly well with the loss of her sister. She seems a bit "lost" at times. But, she's still very playful at other times - like at 3am this morning, when she brought her rubber ball onto the bed and started playing with it.

Rest in Peace, Tigger!

Tigger
July 2003 - February 2008

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our beautiful, gentle Tigger. She brought us so much joy in the 2.5 years she was with us. She left us so suddenly and way too soon.

We don't need no stinkin' condos!

$200 worth of plush, carpeted multi-level cat condos sit unused. All these girls want are $3 worth of cardboard boxes!
